What’s up, my name is Omar and this is Rekless Performance! Before becoming a personal trainer, I had every job under the sun. You name it and I have probably done it, including dog walking. I was an athlete my entire life. You'd find me playing football, basketball, and running track. If I had to pick a favorite, basketball and track was where my heart was. Right about that time, I was planning to attend college but events in my life lead me down a different path. That path was clear and I decided to join the military. That is where I learned structure, hard work, dedication, selflessness and team work. It ended up being one of the best decisions of my life. I fell in love with plyometrics, calisthenics and various types of bodyweight conditioning exercises (also known as "Boot Camp"). Being in the military for ten years, I've seen and experienced a lot of things that have helped shape me into the person I am today. It also jump started my path to fitness. Working out in different gyms, people would ask me "What are you training for?", or "What does that do?". Eventually, a suggestion was made that I should become a personal trainer. So I did! I'm a huge fan of anyone wanting to be better and do better for themselves. As I continue to do what I love and share it with others who want more, I've come to find that learning never stops and helping others shouldn't either. Not to mention setting a great example for my son!
